Hello lovelies,
I absolutely adore reworked necklaces and always find it so interesting and unusual when a piece of jewellery has been created from other things. So you can guess how excited I was to find this bad boy...made of old typewriter keys and cute little found charms, so gorgeous! I always like to think of the history of each bit and imagine where they had been before, like who used the typewriter and where abouts in the country is each piece from. I would love to be able to try and make something like this...maybe I can add that to this years to do list.
And to top it all off, how pretty it is? Definately a beautiful piece of statement jewellery that can add interest to a simple outfit.
What do you think of reworked jewellery? Do you own any interesting pieces? If you have blogged about any, remember to leave me the link - would love to read about them!
Tata!
Today's song on repeat - Hollipolla, Sigur Ros. I was off work yesterday as was feeling rotten, so I had Sigur Ros on repeat to chill out to. I love this song, the melody is just beautiful. I first heard it on the Planet Earth series with my homeboy, David Attenbourgh and just fell in love with it. I could listen to this song constantly on repeat. Today's post name is from the lyric translation.

This is lovely! I really like jewellery like this, my faves are things made with old board game pieces :) xx
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I have a scrabble ring as well and have seen ones made out of monopoly markers too :) x
DeleteI really like this, anything quirky and with a history gets my vote.

Totally agree x
DeleteIt is amazing. I wish I had the time and patience to craft stuff (when I was younger I did a lot). There is a lot of inspiration but little time and space ><
