#53. Hello 2013!

Hello little ones,

A few days late with this post but hey ho, happy 2013! Here are a few pics of what my friends and I did to bring in the New Year. We hired a beautiful house for a couple of days just outside of Edinburgh and ate and drank lots, went for lovely walks on the beach and in the countryside and played games. It was so great to get away for a few days and chill out.

On Hogmanay we had a lovely sit down dinner with party hats, fake moustaches and party poppers (hands up the big kids!). For the bells we went down to the beach with sparklers and champagne which was the perfect way to bring in the New Year, watching fireworks across the water. Then we headed back to the house for dancing to Girls Aloud, Avril Lavigne and The Spice Girls (of course wapping out old forgotten dance routines) - excellent! I definitely had a sore head on the 1st!

The North Berwick Law which we climbed one afternoon. It was lovely and sunny but sooooooo windy, we almost got blown off. The views were beautiful at the top though. It is the only hill in lots of flat land so found myself pretty funny by calling it The Lonely Mountain, seeing as I seen The Hobbit a few weeks ago. haha such a geek!

A lovely view from the top of the Law.

The hallway and Christmas tree in the beautiful house

The tables all set up for dinner

Cheers!

Dancing to Sound of the Underground. This is also the best photo I have of my outfit - blogger fail right there! But I was wearing my black velvet dress that I have spoke about before in this post and my new gold tights (thought it was fitting as it was new year to add lots of sparkle and glitz!)

I moustache you a question! The moustaches were great fun and perfect for the party and made for some funny portraits!

Our lovely (and very boozy) Christmas cake or should that be Hogmanay cake.

Hope your Hogmanay festivities were fun too. If you have posted up any pics, make sure to leave a link below...I love hearing about how other people celebrated the New Year!

Cheerio!

Today's song on repeat - Sk8ter Boi, Avril Lavinge. This song was played constantly at New Year and it was so much fun jumping around the house to it, pretending to be 13 again. I used to love this song so much and was glad that it wasn't just me who could remember all the words! He was a skater boy, she said see you later boy...
